Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles to a middle-class family. She grew up with dreams of great heights. Her best roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the drama Precious. She was born into a middle-class household located in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. The idea of instilling a love for films within her daughter was a skill that she learned from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula became involved in many co-curricular events at school however she showed an interest in drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School provided her with numerous opportunities to act throughout her schooling and she picked acting to pursue a career. She went to in the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. Following the successful completion of the assignment, she began becoming an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Then, she switched to producing documentaries. Although she enjoyed her work, she yearned for being an actor. She started her acting career through a tiny part on the movie romantic comedy Hitch with Will Smith. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film and TV series.
