Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright and professor at St. Thomas University). Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories of attending rehearsals for play and watching her mother's working. When she was a kid, she appeared in several commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career. She ended up moving to Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism in the year before Seth Cooperman and Anna had been married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April of 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows with a Jewish ceremony. Bo's similar-sex romance with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted on CNN's list of the top favorite TV Couples and named the Top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's internet popularity increased due to the success of the series.
