Tracy Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg to Greek parents. Spiridakos made her name as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) Matheson from the NBC sci-fi series Revolution. Spiridakos is a native of Winnipeg in Manitoba was born to Greek parents. They moved the family to the Greek town of Skala close to Sparta, when she was four. She returned to Canada when she turned nine. Her roots are deeply rooted in her Greek heritage, and is fluent in Greek in a fluent manner. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg at the age of 2000. Spiridakos moved into Vancouver at the end of 2007 in order to pursue acting, and within weeks landed her first television role in a minor part of Supernatural. Her work in the television industry continued, and in 2009, she won her first starring part on Majority Rules! She debuted in a major feature film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), along with Donal Dialogue as well as Katie Cassidy.
